Before tonight’s bout with the first place Marlins, Fox Sports Southeast has a special treat for Braves fans, featuring an intrasquad matchup with the alternate site camp. The game will pit two of Atlanta’s best prospects against each other — right-hander Ian Anderson and the southpaw Kyle Muller — two potential solutions to the Braves rotation issues.
Alex Anthopoulos commented on the possibility of them making their debuts in 2020 with Fox Sports’ Kelly Crull, stating that Ian Anderson is definitely in the conversation for a promotion. He also said Kyle Muller hit 100 MPH last week in a game for the first time in his carer, mentioning him as another potential option for the Braves at some point in 2020. Although, Anthopoulos also admitted that Muller is still having a little trouble with his control. You can check out everything Anthopoulos said in the video below.

Right now, the Braves rotation only consists of three players — Max Fried, Touki Toussaint, and Kyle Wright. And Fried is the only one that’s proven to be anything near consistent. Anthopoulos has held off from throwing these young arms into the fire, but he is at the point where they don’t have much choice.
I’d be surprised if we didn’t see Ian Anderson sometime this season. I don’t think Kyle Muller will make an appearance, but the next prospect in line is probably Tucker Davidson. If we don’t see Davidson in the intrasquad scrimmage today, it could be a sign that he may be tomorrow’s starter for the Braves, which has still yet to be announced.
