Less than 30 minutes after announcing they had come to an agreement on a one-year deal with Johan Camargo, the Braves also inked Grant Dayton to a one-year, $900,000 contract.
The #Braves and LHP Grant Dayton today agreed to a one-year contract for the 2021 season worth $900,000.

Dayton was another guy many thought the Braves might non-tender, but at such a low price-tag, I always thought Atlanta would end up bringing him back. The southpaw posted a 2.30 ERA over 27.1 innings last season. Although, his FIP of 4.07 suggested he was the beneficiary of some luck. Still, his production was worth a contract worth less than a million dollars. Dayton should end up competing for one of the final spots in Atlanta’s bullpen.
