The Braves have agreed to a deal with former Padre and Giant Alex Dickerson, a powerful left handed bat:
The Atlanta #Braves today signed OF Alex Dickerson to a non-guaranteed, major-league contract worth $1 million.

Dickerson was an absolute monster during the shortened 2020 season, slashing .298/.371/.576/.947 — good for a 156 OPS+. Dickerson had a down 2021 season, only posting a meager .725 OPS with a 95 OPS+, just below league average. However, he’s a good bench bat to have in a pinch, especially with Atlanta needing lefty bats and outfield help. His contract is also very reasonable and not guaranteed, so I can get behind this signing.
In order to make room for Dickerson on the 40 man roster, Mike Soroka was added to the 60-Day IL.
