Braves add outfielder ahead of Spring Training

Braves hat

Pitchers and catchers have already reported to Spring Training for the Braves, but Alex Anthopoulos is still tweaking the roster, adding outfielder Jake Marisnick as a non-roster invite, per Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

With Ronald Acuña Jr. set to miss the first couple months of the season, Marisnick has a legitimate chance to earn one of the final spots on the Braves roster with a productive Spring Training. He doesn’t offer a ton with stick, owning a .666 OPS over his 11-year MLB career, but he can bring above average defense to every position in the outfield. He also comes with postseason experience from his days with the Astros, hitting .333 over 21 at-bats.
