As expected, the Braves announced they have activated shortstop Dansby Swanson from the injured list for Monday’s one-game makeup with the Colorado Rockies.
The fact the team was willing to have Swanson travel to Colorado for a single game suggests they believe he is 100% healthy and ready to continue his breakout 2019. In a corresponding move, the Braves optioned Adam Duvall back to Gwinnett, where he will be joined by Austin Riley as he continues his rehab assignment.
The club also optioned OF Adam Duvall to Triple-A Gwinnett following yesterday’s game and transferred OF Austin Riley’s major league rehabilitation assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Duvall hasn’t been able to provide much since going bonkers in his first week back with the Braves, and the team was carrying a multitude of players that can man the outfield. Riley could be back in Atlanta at some point next week. He will likely take the spot Rafael Ortega is currently occupying.
