Following their 14th straight win, the Braves finally have an off-day on Thursday, but it did bring good news. The club reinstated Collin McHugh from the COVID-19 Injured List, and in a corresponding move, Jacob Webb was designated for assignment.

McHugh had been sidelined since June 7th after testing positive, but it shouldn’t be too long before he reclaims his role as a setup option in front of Kenley Jansen. The 34-year-old generated a 3.42 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 25/5 K/BB in 23.2 innings prior to landing on the IL.
Atlanta’s bullpen has been one of the league’s best units despite losing Luke Jackson, Tyler Matzek, Kirby Yates, and McHugh. They’re first in WAR, SIERA, and K% while ranking fourth in ERA, xFIP, and HR/9. Now, they’ll welcome back the versatile veteran McHugh.
