The Braves will have several players up for awards as the season comes to an end, and one of those players is Austin Riley, who was officially named one of the finalists for the Hank Aaron award, which is given to the most outstanding offensive player in the National League.
#Braves' Austin Riley is among 8 finalists for the NL Hank Aaron Award for most outstanding offensive player. Others: LA's Mookie Betts & Freddie Freeman (2020 winner), Mets' Pete Alonso, Philly's Kyle Schwarber, Cards' Paul Goldschmidt & Nolan Arenado, Padres' Manny Machado.

I love Riley as much as anyone. He was a legitimate MVP candidate for much of the season, but he really struggled over the last couple of months. It’s nice to see him receive some recognition for his season, but there’s no chance he wins this award. Paul Goldschmidt deserves it, and he should also be named the NL MVP.
