The Atlanta Hawks are off to a 7-3 start, which is the best start to a season since the 2016-17 campaign. Dejounte Murray has come as advertised and is off to the best start of his career, averaging a career-high 22.3 points per game and 2.5 steals per game on the most efficient shooting his career — 51.5% effective field goal percentage. Without Trae Young, the Hawks handed the Bucks their first loss of the season in A.J. Griffin’s breakout game, in which he posted 24 points on an efficient 10-of-15 shooting.
The Hawks will square off with Jazz on Wednesday night and then face the 76ers on Thursday and Saturday. But it isn’t any matchup. Against the Sixers tomorrow night, Atlanta will reportedly debut their city uniforms.

The black and peach alternate uniforms aren’t terrible looking, but they certainly aren’t my favorite city edition uniforms. According to the NBA’s website, the club with wear these threads in ten home games this season. The city uniforms are supposed to connect a team and its fan base while paying tribute to the franchise’s past, and I’m not really sure this year’s edition accomplished that. The peach color is a nice touch, and I always appreciate those undertones. But all the black has been overdone, in my opinion.
