The Falcons entered their Week 13 tilt against the Buccaneers shorthanded.
Atlanta was without Kaleb McGary and Drew Dalman along the offensive line, David Onyemata on the other side of the line of scrimmage, Nate Landman on the second level of the defense, and Jeff Okudah in the secondary.
However, to add insult to injury, literally, the Falcons left Sunday’s contest with more injuries than they had before it. The offense saw Chris Lindstrom and Jake Matthews exit yesterday’s game as well as Kentavius Street. Thankfully, Lindstrom was able to return.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to suit up for the Falcons’ game this weekend against the Panthers. Moreover, the rest of the injured players weren’t given positive updates on Monday from Arthur Smith.
Falcons HC Arthur Smith said it's a pec injury for DL Kentavius Street. Said maybe it's not as bad as they thought, but "we'll see."
Lindstrom, Matthews, Landman & Onyemata all could have a chance to play Sunday against Carolina. They'll see how things go throughout the week.

In the place of the injured starters, some of the reserve players treated this as an opportunity. Clark Phillips and Storm Norton, in particular, impressed in place of Jeff Okudah and Kaleb McGary, respectively. However, the same cannot be said for Tyler Vrabel.
The Falcons don’t need to be fully healthy to beat the Panthers; Carolina is that bad of a football team. Still, getting healthy for the stretch run is necessary if they want a postseason berth.
