After a little bit of nervousness from Atlanta fans, Arthur Smith has accepted the job offer the Falcons gave him this morning.
We have agreed to terms with Arthur Smith to become our next head coach.

Smith brings a run heavy scheme that has launched Tennessee to new heights in recent years, capped off by Derrick Henry’s 2,000 yard season in 2020-2021. Ryan Tannehill has been fantastic under Smith, and you can read a full breakdown of how he’s ranked in the NFL during his time in Tennessee here.
I think Smith is an exciting hire for Falcons fans, and he can bring this offense back to the form that guided them to the Super Bowl in Matt Ryan’s MVP season. Rumors are that Saints Assistant GM/VP of Pro Scouting Terry Fontenot is taking Atlanta’s General Manager role when New Orleans’ season ends, so hopefully both of these guys can get in the building soon.
Welcome Coach Smith!
