About six weeks after a deadly crash that killed a Georgia staffer, Chandler LeCroy, and offensive lineman Devin Willock, an arrest warrant has been issued for Jalen Carter by the Athens-Clarke County police department for reckless driving and racing the night of the fatal crash.

This is an absolute bombshell for one of the premier prospects entering the NFL draft. Some consider Georgia’s Jalen Carter to be the top player in this cycle, but that will all be put on hold as his legal situation plays out.
I am not here to speculate on any account. I’m here to tell you how difficult this entire situation has been for everyone involved, and nobody should take it lightly. Two young people lost their lives, regardless of the circumstances. Everyone should be mindful when giving their two cents on a situation where family and friends are still grieving the losses of Chandler LeCroy and Devin Willock.
With that being said, Jalen Carter has, by all accounts, been a good human being that made a mistake. He should not be crucified for it. I wish everyone involved the best because nobody should have to be continually reminded of a tragedy like this.
Prior to the warrant being issued, Carter was expected to take the podium at the NFL Combine this morning, something that likely will no longer happen.
