The Falcons have been fielding calls on everyone, namely Julio Jones, and the fourth overall pick for much of this offseason. According to Albert Breer via Dov Kleiman, Bill Belichick has at least made contact with Terry Fontenot about the possibility of moving up.
Two of the teams that the #Patriots contacted about moving up into the top 10 are the #Falcons and #Panthers, according to @AlbertBreer

Given New England spent more this offseason than they had in what seems like the past ten seasons, there could be a reality where Belichick overpays for a shot at drafting Justin Fields, which Fontenot would have to entertain. More than likely, it was a conversation about the possibility of a draft-night trade if a particular prospect fell or didn’t for either team.
What seems closer to reality is Belichick won’t overpay, because he’s Belichick, but there is a possibility Fontenot can fleece him similarly to Thomas Dimitroff lifting a second-round pick off the head coach/general manager for Mohammad Sanu.
