Just as it seemed that Atlanta’s outfield was starting to click, Adam Duvall was lost for the season with a wrist injury:

Duvall is done for the season.

This is especially disappointing, as Duvall was finally starting to turn things around:
Adam Duvall posted a .935 OPS with 10 HR, 20 RBI, and 20 runs scored over his last 120 PA, good for a 1.2 fWAR in his 34 games played – 4th best among #Braves position players since June 4.
Atlanta will need to find some production from LF in his absence. https://t.co/mDGUWYQE5r

The Braves were already in the market for a left-handed bat, and now, that desire to acquire one may have kicked into high gear. Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi is a logical choice, along with Cubs utility man Ian Happ, who can also play some second base. I have trade hypotheticals for both of those guys here:
Last year following Ronald Acuña Jr.’s injury, the Braves acquired Joc Pederson from the Cubs. Hopefully, if a trade is made, the Braves can get that same type of impact. With Duvall set to hit free agency, we may have seen the last of him in Atlanta. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and gets back to baseball soon.
