The Falcons left Day 1 with more holes than they began it, but they filled one void on Day 2. The second level of the defense needed a body. However, the club needs to bolster both sides of the line of scrimmage, as well as the third level of the defense. There’s much work to be done, but thankfully, it’s just the beginning of free agency.
Super Bowls are rarely won at the opening bell of the legal tampering period, and there’s A LOT of talent available on the open market. Still, it’s hard not to be discouraged by the Falcons’ lack of moves while the Panthers and Buccaneers make productive ones.
