The Braves have agreed to a trade with — you guessed it — the Angels. A deal that will send Michael Petersen to Atlanta, with cash considerations going to Los Angeles.
The #Braves today acquired RHP Michael Petersen from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Every time the Braves need a little depth, the Halos always come through. LA designated Petersen for assignment yesterday after acquiring Jack Eder from the White Sox. Following the trade, Petersen was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The newly acquired Petersen played for two teams last year, his only time in the major leagues. For the Dodgers and Marlines, the righty tossed 19.2 innings with a 5.95 ERA. It’s not sexy, but expect to see a lot more moves like these as the Braves scramble to find more depth following the latest injury news to Reynaldo Lopez.Â
