After entering the transfer portal last week, former Georgia Bulldogs wideout Nitro Tuggle has committed to Purdue.
The Indiana native returns home after missing a portion of the spring after being suspended indefinitely. He’ll have three years of eligibility left with the Boilermakers. Tuggle is the fifth Dawg to transfer to Purdue.
Tuggle only played in eight games across the 2024 campaign, hauling in just three catches for 34 yards. It’s not exactly a crushing loss for Kirby Smart. The program welcomed five wideouts during the 2025 cycle — Tayln Taylor, C.J. Wiley, Tyler Williams, Thomas Blachear, and Landon Roldan, all of whom are four-star recruits except for Roldan.
The Georgia Bulldogs’ wide receiver room should be much better in 2025 than it was in 2024, leaving few opportunities for Tuggle. Colbie Young was fully reinstated before spring ball, and Noah Thomas transferred from Texas A&M; both will get a majority of the reps at the X position, but even after them, Tuggle likely would’ve competed with Taylor and Wiley for those reps.
